Anti‑Trump “El Diablo” Shirt Design & Puppet
For the “Best Trump Design Wins 25 Shirts” contest hosted by Proper Printshop, I created an anti‑Trump shirt riffing on the iconic “El Diablo” Lotería card to communicate political critique through cultural visual language. The design reimagines the traditional card’s devil figure to deliver a provocative message that works on both merchandise and social feeds.
I also translated the design into a cardboard puppet, bringing the visual metaphor into 3D space and creating an interactive, performative extension of the concept, allowing audiences to engage physically with the imagery and message.
The project was shared on Instagram with energetic copy (“🔥Now available online!!🔥 Link in bio”) and strategic hashtags (#elpasotx, #trumpiscoming, #beto2020), generating engagement and discussion. It was also featured in local media coverage by KVIA News, demonstrating the intersection of cultural reference, visual storytelling, and social activism across multiple formats.
